General House Rules
Hunter's Grove is a hunter game with the following rules that are not negotiable and in place so everyone can have a good time. If you're offended by any of them, then the door is open to walk out of. These were created after years of experiencing bad games, bad players, and bad ST's:
Books that are allowed are as follows:
Laws of the Hunt Revised ( Red Book)
Laws of the Hunt Players Guide Revised (Green Book)
Any flaws, merits, or powers taken from others books that are not on the site, will have to be discussed with the ST Staff.
Hunter's Grove is a hunter game with the following rules that are not negotiable and in place so everyone can have a good time. If you're offended by any of them, then the door is open to walk out of. These were created after years of experiencing bad games, bad players, and bad ST's:
- Leave your drama llama at the door
that means no starting fights, try to get along, and don't pick on anyone. If someone says to stop, then stop. Just because you may think it's funny and say OH it's a joke, doesn't mean that the person doesn't have the right to get upset. - If you really want your character pregnant be prepared to lose your powers and possibly the baby, or your character's life. A pregnant hunter is vulnerable and this is not a day care game.
- Those that want to challenge the St on a rules call must take it to PM
- Failure to take disputes to PM will get 1 warning and may result to even ban from the game.
- The ST's are willing to bend the rules but if you cry, whine, throw a fit, you will be told No Shiny for you.
- NPC's are not your problem solvers, only the helpers.
- The limelight belongs to no one, everyone works together because everyone has strengths your character will lack.
Starting plot is commendable but if you go Solo then expect the risk to die to be more then huge. This is a group effort game. - Everyone will get plot centered around your background and flaws that involves a group effort to resolve so be prepared to have that dirty laundry aired.
- XP must be spent before game night and ST notified or it will not count, xp will be given out monthly depending on Soft/Hard RP. Logs are accepted.
- Backgrounds are a must, no Soft RP will be allowed until the sheet is fully approved. The more you give us, the more plot can happen.
- Kinfolk can be allowed but follow the Hunter creation rules. No tribal extras or disadvantages (For more see Garou Rules about it). No Shifter turned Hunter, No Mages, No Fae, No ex Vamps that found God and turned human again. There will be no Revenants, Dhampires or Ex Ghouls allowed unless you've got a really damn good concept and background. All other cheesy bastards mentioned may be allowed after game growth and serious inquires only.
- The ST Staff are not your enemy. If you have good reasons, a solid stance and you really want that wonky bit of shiny or just need help, talk to us.
- The ST staff are not paid. This is not their jobs for life and there is no HR department. They will be diplomatic and understanding but if you want to be an argumentative, elitist, entitled little shit, expect to be told off and banned.
- Character death can and will happen. If you can't keep up, don't step up. We usually give a warning if the plot have potential to become nasty and bloody.
- Just because you have real world knowledge doesn't mean your character does unless you have the appropriate abilities. The game will follow real world logic so as an example: if you want one shot kills, then expect to be one shotted as well.
- If you craft something, an ST has to be there to approve it and roll with you. There will always be more than one roll. Then you can add it to the sheet with a creation date. If you pull it out of thin air or make some generic Sword have all the fancy engravings all of a sudden, you will be given a warning up to a time out ban of no more than 24 hours. Be responsible, be fair, and so will the ST staff. Ammo, enchanted items, etc will be counted. Keep track of your shit too.
- If you want to bring a friend, run it by the ST staff BEFORE giving out the rooms. There are several individuals who are not allowed, no matter what, no exceptions, and the ST staff doesn't care of they have redeemed themselves. Just ask before you give out info. This is to protect our game from others that would otherwise harm it.The staff will question anyone unknown to them and will offer a vote if necessary.
- PM an ST that you have read these rules and understand.
